How It All Began
Every brand has a starting point.
Ours just happened to be in a kitchen.
Before Bread & Butter was even a thought, life looked very different. I was on the tools working as a carpenter. No real plan, no big vision mapped out — just doing what I needed to do to keep things moving. Day by day, job to job. Like a lot of people, just getting through it.
Then one moment changed everything.
I was stood there buttering a slice of bread, nothing special, just a normal day. But something clicked. Proper clicked. Bread & Butter… staple food. That’s when it hit me — why not a staple streetwear brand? Something simple. Something everyone understands. Something that people actually relate to.
No over-complication. No pretending to be something it’s not.
Just the basics. The essentials. Done properly.
That was the beginning.
More Than Just Clothing
Not long after starting the brand, everything shifted.
I lost my mum to suicide.
It’s something I’d already been around more times than I should have been — losing friends the same way. But nothing prepares you for it when it hits that close to home. It changes how you see everything. What matters, what doesn’t, what you’re actually doing with your time.
That’s when Bread & Butter stopped just being an idea for clothing.
It became a mission.
A reason.
If I was going to build something, it had to mean something. It had to stand for something bigger than just garms. So the focus became clear — raise awareness, start conversations, and do whatever we can to prevent people feeling like they’ve got no way out.
At the same time, show people that you can build something from nothing. That even when things feel off track, you can still create your own direction.
Built From Real Life
Bread & Butter isn’t polished.
It’s not perfect.
And it’s not meant to be.
It’s built from real life — the ups, the losses, the confusion, the moments where things don’t make sense, and the moments where something just clicks out of nowhere. It’s for people who are figuring it out as they go. People who are still grafting. Still pushing forward even when it’s hard.
That’s why the message has always stayed the same.
Keep it simple. Keep it real. Keep it moving.
The Movement
What started in a kitchen has turned into something much bigger than I ever expected.
And that’s down to the people backing it.
Everyone who’s followed, supported, bought something, shared a post, or even just had a conversation about what we’re doing — that’s what’s building this. Not just me.
We’re still early.
Still learning.
Still figuring things out as we go.
But one thing that won’t change is the direction.
What’s Next
There’s a lot more coming.
More drops. More meaning behind them. More conversations that matter. More opportunities to connect with people who get it.
Bread & Butter will always be about the essentials — not just in what you wear, but in how you live. Keeping things grounded. Staying true to yourself. Building something, even when you don’t have it all figured out yet.
Because no one really does.
Final Word
If you’ve been here from the start, or even if you’ve just found us — thank you.
Genuinely.
This isn’t just a brand. It’s something we’re building together.
And we’re only just getting started.
KEEP MAKING IT HAPPEN.
